Hummus is a spread popular in Middle Eastern cuisine. This delicious and trendy snack is low in fat and high in fiber and protein making it a perfect addition to any healthy diet. Traditional hummus contains chickpeas ,tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and salt. Eating a 4 ounce portion of hummus by itself or using it as a dip for raw vegetables is a great midday snack option. It helps curb your appetite and prevent overeating.
